Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our finance team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As the Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving financial excellence.

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including supervision of staff accountants and financial analysts
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian financial regulations, IFRS, and company policies
  • Develop and implement robust internal financial controls and procedures
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, conduct financial forecasting, and provide strategic financial insights to senior management
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the organization
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards, ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) required
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations, IFRS, and US GAAP
  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team of accounting professionals
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethical standards, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
