We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie specializing in Indian cuisine to join our culinary team in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the Indian cuisine section, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Manage and coordinate the Indian cuisine section of the kitchen, ensuring efficient and high-quality food production
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes according to recipes and standards
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and recipes
- Maintain inventory and order supplies for the Indian cuisine section
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, including local regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth overall operations
- Assist in menu planning and development of new Indian dishes
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistency and meet customer expectations
- Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Adapt Indian recipes to accommodate local ingredients and dietary requirements when necessary
- Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, specializing in Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and regional variations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in training and mentoring junior staff
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Creativity in menu planning and food presentation
- Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintenance procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to working in Saudi Arabia
- Knowledge of local food regulations and dietary customs is preferred
