Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

  • Manage and operate a designated section of the kitchen, maintaining efficiency and quality standards
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and chef's instructions
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in your section
  • Ensure proper food storage, handling, and rotation to maintain freshness and minimize waste
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies for your section
  • Contribute to menu planning and cost control efforts
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Creativity and innovation in dish preparation and presentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform kitchen duties for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Passion for food and commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction

Additional Information

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
