Join our dynamic culinary team as a Chef de Partie in the heart of Central Jakarta, Indonesia! We're seeking an enthusiastic and skilled culinary professional to lead a section of our kitchen and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Manage and oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and timely delivery
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to our restaurant's recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other team members to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented team atmosphere
- Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste while maintaining quality
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies for your section
- Ensure consistent portion sizes and presentation standards for all dishes
- Adapt to changing priorities and maintain composure during busy service periods
- Actively participate in menu planning and suggest innovative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution
- Proven experience in managing a specific kitchen section efficiently
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation methods
- Excellent understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and HACCP principles
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused mindset
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in menu planning and ability to suggest creative culinary ideas
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Indonesian cuisine and local ingredients is a plus
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous
