Job Description

The Position

To operate and monitor all systems, including CCTV, within the control room in a professional and efficient manner. To ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information gained by compliance with Sofitel quality standards and legislation

Main responsibility

To efficiently operate and monitor the hotel’s CCTV and security systems 24/7, ensuring safety, compliance with legal standards (including DPS regulations), and supporting investigations, while maintaining clear communication, detailed records, and high service standards in line with Sofitel’s values.

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and operate all control room systems efficiently, ensuring compliance with security procedures, legislation, SIRA regulations, and Sofitel's code of ethics.
  • Coordinate with police, service providers, and internal departments for proper system usage and effective incident response.
  • Maintain accurate records, including evidential material and written logs, following Sofitel standards and legal requirements.
  • Report equipment issues promptly and support the security leadership in system maintenance and functionality oversight.
  • Uphold control room security, ensure proper data handling as per SIRA regulations, and assist in monitoring CCTV system integrity.
  • Deliver courteous communication, promote health and safety awareness, and perform duties in line with Sofitel’s “gentle service” philosophy
  • Conduct regular checks on all field officers to ensure alertness and effective performance of duties.
  • Assist in investigations and prepare detailed reports on incidents involving criminal acts, accidents, staff misconduct, or cases concerning guests and staff.
  • Monitor hotel staff to ensure compliance with House Rules and closely observe staff under investigation.
  • Maintain peace and order within hotel premises, dealing appropriately with trespassers, criminals, or disruptive individuals.
  • Provide constant updates to the Director and Assistant manager of Security on all relevant security matters.
  • Perform periodic system checks, especially on CCTV systems, and participate in departmental meetings and training; work in rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 CCTV coverage

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum education: Generally equivalent to a high school diploma or secondary education. Attested.
  • Must hold a valid SIRA license issued by Security Industry Regulatory Agency
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate

Additional Information

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity in a 5-star hotel
  • Knowledge of operation of the CCTV system
  •  SIRA CCTV Operator License
