Job Description

How does your working day look like …

  • Manage catering operations for off-site catering and hotel events, including corporate events, private parties, and bespoke experiences.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand event needs, preferences, and dietary requirements, offering creative and tailored menu options.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all events, handling everything from event design and logistics to delivery and post-event feedback.
  • Supervise all aspects of service during events, from setup to breakdown, ensuring every detail is executed with precision.
  • Take the lead on off-site events when required, managing logistics including transportation, equipment, staffing, and client communication.
  • Work closely with external vendors and partners to secure resources like décor, sound, lighting, and any additional services required for off-site events.
  • Ensure that off-site events run as smoothly as hotel-based ones, delivering the same high standards of service and cuisine.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the catering team to deliver excellent service, ensuring staff is well-prepared for both in-house and off-site events.
  • Oversee the scheduling and allocation of staff for each event based on the scope and nature of the event.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and support professional development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners, ensuring high-quality products and services are always available.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions for both hotel and off-site catering.
  • Manage relationships with external catering partners for off-site events, ensuring quality service standards are maintained.
  • Develop and manage budgets for catering events, ensuring costs are kept within budget while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Track expenses and revenue for each event and prepare detailed financial reports for management.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to promote catering offerings, including off-site catering services, through various channels.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, event packages, and seasonal menus.
  • Represent 25hours Hotel Dubai at industry events and networking opportunities to grow the catering business.
  • Ensure exceptional service standards and food quality are maintained at all events, handling any issues or concerns swiftly and professionally.
  • Collect client feedback after events to continuously improve services and cater to guest expectations.
  • Resolve any client or guest complaints and ensure overall satisfaction for all catered events.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and industry standards, both on-site and at off-site locations.
  • Manage catering operations to ensure the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality control are upheld.

 


Qualifications

Your personality counts more than your CV …

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in catering management, with experience in both hotel-based and off-site catering events.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly and think proactively.
  • Deep understanding of event planning, catering logistics, and guest relations.
  • Proficient in event management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Knowledge of food safety and industry regulations.
