The Carpenter / Interior Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and quality of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities through carpentry, interior repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. This role ensures that all hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, aesthetics, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, repair, and maintenance work in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, offices, and back-of-house facilities.
• Carry out repairs and touch-ups for wallpaper, carpets, paintwork, furniture, fixtures, doors, cabinetry, and other interior finishes.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues, defects, and potential safety hazards.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment and facility downtime and extend the lifespan of hotel assets.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Install, assemble, adjust, and repair furniture, fixtures, and fittings as required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with hotel and safety standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Rooms, and other departments to schedule and complete maintenance activities with minimal disruption to guests.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and hotel operating procedures.
• Assist with renovation projects, room refurbishments, and special maintenance assignments as directed by management.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.

仕事内容

• 客室、パブリックエリア、レストラン、オフィス、およびバックオブハウス施設における木工・修繕・メンテナンス業務を行う。
• 壁紙、カーペット、塗装、家具、備品、ドア、キャビネットなどの内装仕上げに関する補修およびタッチアップ作業を実施する。
• 定期点検を行い、不具合や損傷箇所、潜在的な安全上のリスクを早期に発見する。
• 予防保全を実施し、設備や施設の故障を未然に防止するとともに、ホテル資産の寿命延長を図る。
• メンテナンス依頼や修理要請に迅速に対応し、高品質な作業を効率的に完了する。
• 家具、備品、什器の設置、組立、調整、および修理を行う。
• 手工具、電動工具、および各種メンテナンス機器を安全かつ適切に使用する。
• ホテルおよび安全衛生基準に従い、清潔で整理整頓された安全な作業環境を維持する。
• エンジニアリング部門、ハウスキーピング部門、宿泊部門など関連部署と連携し、お客様への影響を最小限に抑えながら作業を実施する。
• 会社方針、安全基準、およびホテル運営手順を遵守しながら業務を遂行する。
• 改装工事、客室リニューアル、および特別メンテナンスプロジェクトにおいて、管理者の指示のもと業務を支援する。
• メンテナンス履歴、修理内容、および使用資材に関する記録を正確に管理する。

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in interior construction, renovation, building maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior construction, facilities maintenance, or a similar role preferred.
• Candidates with extensive DIY, carpentry, or hands-on technical experience are also encouraged to apply. Relevant skills, project experience, and portfolios will be considered.
• Proficiency in the safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

Technical Skills

• Practical experience in wallpaper and carpet repair, painting, furniture adjustment and repair, and general interior finishing work.
• Knowledge of routine repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to identify defects and carry out corrective actions efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Management & Organizational Skills

• Ability to plan and manage work progress effectively while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and the ability to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and coordinating with multiple stakeholders when required.

• Strong attention to detail, with an appreciation for cleanliness, aesthetics, and maintaining a quiet environment appropriate for hotel guest rooms and public areas.

• 内装工事、リノベーション、建物設備管理、または関連分野での実務経験をお持ちの方。
• 内装工事、施設管理、または類似業務において3年以上の実務経験をお持ちの方歓迎。
• DIY、木工、修繕作業などの豊富な実務経験をお持ちの方も歓迎します。保有スキルや施工実績、ポートフォリオを考慮のうえ選考いたします。
• 手工具および電動工具を安全かつ適切に使用できる方。

技術スキル

• 壁紙やカーペットの補修、塗装、家具・建具の調整および修理など、内装仕上げ作業の実務経験をお持ちの方。
• 日常的な修繕業務、トラブルシューティング、および予防保全に関する知識を有する方。
• 不具合箇所を的確に特定し、高品質な仕上がりを維持しながら迅速に修繕対応ができる方。

管理・運営スキル

• 作業工程を適切に管理し、納期・品質基準を遵守できる方。
• 労働安全衛生に関する知識を有し、安全基準および手順を遵守できる方。
