Job Description

 

We are seeking a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented Bellman/Driver to join our team at Mövenpick Hotel Doha. In this dual-role position, you will play a crucial part in creating a positive first and last impression for our guests. You will be responsible for assisting with luggage handling, providing accurate information about the hotel and local attractions, and safely transporting guests as required, all while delivering the warm, attentive service Mövenpick is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stand ready at the main entrance to warmly greet arriving guests.
  • Assist guests with luggage upon arrival and departure, escorting them to or from their rooms.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of room locations and hotel facilities to guide guests effectively.
  • Provide directions and local information about Doha attractions, transportation, and services.
  • Issue and verify luggage tags to ensure proper handling and security.
  • Ensure cleanliness and good condition of all luggage trolleys.
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and wear a complete, clean uniform at all times.
  • Stay attentive to activity in the lobby area and respond promptly to guest needs.
  • Coordinate guest transportation needs with the front desk team.
  • Drive guests safely to their destinations, adhering to all traffic and hotel safety rules.
  • Assist with valet parking, package deliveries, or errands as requested.
  • Complete shift checklists and communicate key handover information clearly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bellman, driver, or in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Valid Qatari driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with Doha roads and local traffic laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Physically fit and able to carry heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic English language skills required; Arabic or additional languages are a plus.
  • Professional appearance with strong attention to hygiene and uniform standards.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a helpful and proactive attitude.
