Job Description

As a Bartender, you are the face of our bar experience, bringing together craftsmanship, hospitality, and storytelling across both a vibrant restaurant setting and an intimate speakeasy lounge. Your attention to detail, warm presence, and deep knowledge of beverages allows you to create memorable moments that feel personal, elevated, and distinctive.

Whether serving signature cocktails in a lively dining room or curating bespoke drinks in a hidden lounge atmosphere, you play a key role in shaping the guest experience from first impression to lasting memory.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering thoughtful, proactive, and professional guest service at all times
  • Possessing full knowledge of beverage menus, including garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods
  • Preparing craft cocktails and mixed beverages to standard, while maintaining inventory controls
  • Informing and assisting guests with menu items in an engaging and helpful manner
  • Identifying and communicating dietary restrictions and allergies to the kitchen team as needed
  • Handling guest concerns graciously and efficiently, ensuring service recovery and continuous improvement
  • Maintaining cleanliness and readiness of the bar, mise en place, side stations, and lounge setup
  • Supporting colleagues by running food, refreshing beverages, and resetting tables as required
  • Ensuring furniture and the bar area are consistently clean, inviting, and aligned with brand standards
  • Accurately handling billing, applying promotions, and communicating Hotel offerings
  • Following all health, safety, and sanitation policies related to food and beverage handling
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned to contribute to overall guest satisfaction and team success

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume, upscale bar, restaurant, or lounge environment
  • Previous luxury hotel experience considered an asset
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and beverage preparation techniques
  • A warm, confident, and guest-focused service style
  • Ability to thrive in both high-energy and intimate service environments
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities under pressure
  • Collaborative team mindset with a high level of professionalism
  • Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
  • Valid Serving It Right Certification
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English

Preference will be given to applicants who can commit to the full duration of the season (May to August 2026)

Physical Aspects

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shifts
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Regular bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion
  • Frequent use of stairs and service areas across multiple outlets
  • Ability to carry trays and manage multiple drink orders efficiently

Visa Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
