Job Description
Position Summary
The Bartender delivers cocktails and beverage service within our F&B outlets. This role is responsible for crafting signature cocktails, serving premium wines and spirits, maintaining bar inventory, and upholding uncompromising brand and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate combines technical mixology expertise with genuine warmth, engaging guests to deliver a exceptional luxury dining and lounge experience.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly and present beverage menus with in-depth knowledge of ingredients, flavor profiles, and pairings.
Craft and serve signature cocktails, classic mixed drinks, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and brand presentation standards.
Actively upsell premium spirits, signature concoctions, and food menu items to elevate the guest experience and maximize average check value.
Maintain high visibility at the bar counter, engaging with guests professionally while reading guest preferences to tailor service.
Efficiently handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests, escalating complex concerns to management promptly.
Perform complete pre-shift mise-en-place, preparing fresh garnishes, syrups, ice, and glass setups to ensure smooth service flow.
Manage daily opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, ensuring all bar equipment, refrigeration units, and dispense taps are operational and clean.
Process guest checks and digital payments accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system
Conduct daily stock takes, monitor beverage spillage/wastage logs, and assist in requisitioning store supplies to maintain optimal par levels.
Strictly adhere to food safety regulations (HACCP) and hotel hygiene standards across all bar areas.
Enforce responsible service of alcohol protocols, verifying guest age requirements and managing over-consumption tactfully.
Maintain immaculate cleanliness of the bar counter, back-bar displays, glassware, tools, and storage areas throughout the shift.
Achieves target guest review scores (e.g., TripAdvisor, LQA audit ratings) for bar service.
Maintains financial Accuracy - Zero POS variance, low audit discrepancy, and active participation in beverage upselling programs.
Wastage Control: Maintains spillage and wastage ratios within the approved monthly target threshold.
Audit Compliance: Maintains 100% compliance with internal HACCP, food safety, and brand standard audits.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1 year of proven bartending experience in a 5-star hotel, cocktail lounge, or fine-dining restaurant.
Technical Skills: Strong mixology knowledge, flair techniques (where applicable), spirits appreciation, classic cocktail mastery, and proficiency in POS operating systems.
Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills; composure under high-volume pressure.
Languages: High proficiency in spoken and written English; fluency in additional international languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Russian) is an advantage.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10 hours) and carry bar trays/beverage crates
