Job Description
Deli Attendant / Barista
As a Deli Attendant / Barista, your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings makes guests to our Portobello outlet feel unique and valued.
This is a full-time position, beginning in February 2026.
Starting Rate of Pay: $18.10 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $22.55.
Job Duties Include:
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way with expert knowledge of all ingredients, etc.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and maintenance of deli, take-out window and seating area
- Responsible for making hot beverages and ensuring consistent quality is upheld
- Create specialty coffees
- Replenish bakery items as required in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Previous barista and/or deli experience in a high volume environment is required
- Must hold a Serving it Right Certificate
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset, but not required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
