About the Role

As the Bar Supervisor, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of our premium bar service at Sanctum. You will lead by example, ensuring every guest receives outstanding hospitality, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate bar staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and memorable guest experiences.

• Manage daily bar operations, stock control, and ordering.

• Oversee preparation and presentation of drinks to premium standards.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and responsible service guidelines.

• Assist with rostering, training, and onboarding new team members.

• Resolve guest queries and complaints professionally and promptly.

• Collaborate with management to deliver exclusive member events and activations.

Key Requirements

• Extensive Beverage Knowledge: Expertise across a wide range of beverages—hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic—including classic and contemporary drinks, ensuring every order is crafted to perfection.

• Exemplary Guest Engagement: Lead the way in creating genuine connections by establishing rapport quickly and sincerely with all guests, making every interaction memorable.

• Proactive Anticipation of Guest Needs: Demonstrate exceptional foresight by anticipating and responding to guest preferences and requirements before they even ask, elevating the overall experience.

• Discretion and Professionalism: Maintain the highest level of discretion and tact when serving high-profile and VIP guests, respecting their privacy while delivering impeccable service.

• Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor or senior bartender in a premium hospitality setting.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Passionate about delivering top-tier service and fostering positive team culture.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

• Current RSA certification.

• Valid working rights in Australia.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during major Melbourne events.
