Qantas First Lounge Sydney delivers luxury experiences for a relaxing start to a holiday, an efficient workspace, and a welcoming pause on the way to anywhere. The offering in this space is premium, with a strong focus on quality service and offerings.

We are seeking Full Time - Bar Barista to join our team and provide efficient, friendly and professional service to all of our lounge guests. All of our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for customer service.


Job Description

Prepare and Serve Beverages:

  • Brew coffee and espresso drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, etc.).
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic drinks such as cocktails, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.
  • Follow standard recipes and adjust based on customer preferences.

Customer Service:

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders and answer any questions regarding the menu.

Maintain Cleanliness:

  • Clean and sanitize equipment such as coffee machines and bar space. 
  • Maintain a clean work area, including countertops, seating areas, and barware.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.

Inventory and Stock Management:

  • Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, alcohol, and other ingredients.
  • Replenish ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Inform management of any low-stock items.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders.
  • Assist team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operation.

Qualifications

 

  • Must had a current RSA
  • Experienced in a similarly fast-paced, busy environment
  • A motivated personality is necessary, along with enthusiasm for all things food and drink
  • Experience in working as a barista/bar 
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team
  • Ability to assist on the floor if required
  • Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, evenings and on weekends
  • Ability to obtain Federal Police clearance to work in the restricted areas associated with the airport.

Note: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Federal Police check at their own cost (Will be reimbursed once approved) in order to gain ASIC certification
