Be a part of a spectacular event! As a Banquet Houseperson with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge you will create a special event that our Guests will remember. Your ability to work as a team player combined with your service skills and your engaging personality will ensure that our Guests have a memorable experience. 

What you will be doing:   

Reporting to the Director of Banquets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service 
• Set up function and meetings spaces as per the Banquet Event Order 
• Support department assisting food & beverage outlets including setting buffets; staging events & theme décor 
• Build, set, serve and tear down of coffee breaks 
• Communicate, anticipate & cater to the group conveners and guests for the duration of stay 
• Assist in off-site and resort grounds set up 
• Assist in unpacking and organization of rentals 
• Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles 
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies 
• Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions.  
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include: 

• Valid Alberta driver's license required 
• Proserve certification required 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 
• Highly responsible & reliable 
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision 
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
