Job Description

Summary:
The Assistant Manager, Pool & Beach is pivotal in ensuring exceptional guest experiences at our poolside and beach areas. The Assistant Manager, Pool & Beach will support the Pool & Beach Manager in overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Tailored Offerings: Customize services and amenities to meet the unique preferences of our discerning guests.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulously manage all aspects of pool & beach operations, from setup to service delivery.
  • VIP Management: Personally oversee VIP guest needs to ensure flawless and memorable experiences.
  • Ambassador of Luxury: Embody the values and ethos of our brand as a leader in luxury hospitality.
  • Guest Relations: Build strong guest relationships, anticipate needs, and deliver proactive service.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and motivate the pool & beach team to uphold excellence and professionalism.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement training initiatives to enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Innovative Offerings: Introduce creative enhancements to elevate the pool & beach experience.
  • Revenue Enhancement: Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through strategic initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all facilities and services meet or exceed luxury standards.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, embodying professionalism and grace.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize operations while maintaining service quality.
  • Guest Feedback: Use guest feedback to refine and improve the guest experience.
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrate resilience in resolving guest concerns and operational challenges.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships within the local community and industry.

 This role requires strong leadership and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences in alignment with Banyan Tree's brand standards.


Qualifications

Experience/Certificates/Education

  • Prior experience in a similar role internationally or a minimum of 2 years in a luxury hotel and high-end beach club, demonstrating a strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in overall Food and Beverage operations, particularly in a leadership role, indicating a comprehensive understanding of F&B operations effectively in a guest-facing role, ideally within an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel, demonstrating customer service skills in a hospitality setting.
  • Capability to obtain and/or maintain any necessary government-required licenses, certificates, or permits essential for the role.
  • Proficiency in food and beverage preparation techniques, familiarity with health department regulations, and a solid understanding of liquor laws and regulations governing bar operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to effectively communicate with guests, colleagues, and management.
