Job Description

As Assistant Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the Front Office and Concierge teams, whilst also supporting the Guest Experience, Reservations and Night Audit functions. Your duties will include;

  • Effective supervision of all guest arrivals and departures; ensuring guest service standards are maintained throughout the guest's stay.
  • Utilization of Opera software, ensuring accuracy in use and a range of reports are produced to meet operational needs.
  • Supervision of lobby services (including Concierge and lobby table service), ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
  • Regular liaison with Engineering and Housekeeping departments, ensuring requests are completed quickly, focusing on guest needs as a priority.
  • Promote and ensure strong communication of ALL (Accor Live Limitless) as a key loyalty benefits program.
  • Ensure public areas are clean and well presented with regular monitoring.
  • Ensure there is management support and presence visible on Front Desk and in the lobby during key times throughout the day.
  • Daily liaison with the Reservations office to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximizing of yield.
  • Assume responsibilities as Chief Fire Warden, and primary First Aid officer as required.
  • Openly communicate with staff, ensuring regular training and feedback is provided.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has 2+ years previous leadership experience in a hotel Front Office department.
  • Has a passion for providing an exceptional guest experience.
  • Able to work a flexible 24/7 rotating roster including mornings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Experience with Opera desirable.
  • First aid and Responsible Service of Alcohol certifications desirable.
