Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Front Office Department service.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in planning, implementing, organizing and coordinating the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office, Concierge and Guest Relations department on a daily basis.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in reading and taking immediate action on report relating to rooms allocated to Tour Operators from General Manager. To assist the Front Office Manager in allocating such rooms in a timely and orderly fashion.
  • To liaise with Executive Housekeeper to ascertain readiness of rooms for accommodation.
  • To liaise with all departments to ensure high standard of service to Guests.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in conducting monthly meetings relating to the following report: Overall Front Office P&L Financial results and cost control, Projects and new concepts, Operation results and difficulties, Changes in procedures, New management policy, Quality improvement/maintenance of standards, Guests survey comments, Productivity improvements.
  • To react to all daily operating problems and complaints rose and to offer solutions and to report them to the FOM.
  • To conduct frequent checks in in department concerning courtesy, service quality and ensure that all standards are maintained.
  • To maintain effective and cordial Guests relations and to take the initiative to achieve service excellence.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in welcoming important guests or groups and to accompany them to the rooms.
  • To supervise activities of Connector, to implement job allocations and to ensure an effective assistance to guests during check-in and check–out.
  • To ensure that billings are done correctly on departure of guests.
  • To ensure that maximum security is given to items left at the front office by guests.
  • To converse with guests whenever possible to obtain feedback and suggestion for improvement.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager in compiling records and statistics on room occupancy, analyses fluctuation, in case of low occupancy.
  • To determine causes and consult the FOM on necessity of creating events to promote sales.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management 
  • Additional certification(s) in Tourism management will be an advantage
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Past experience of working in the Maldives
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Additional language will be an advantage
