Our esteemed hotel is centrally located in Cairns City. Our property features 324 elegantly appointed rooms, 18 versatile meeting spaces, Coco’s Kitchen and Bar, as well as in-room dining services. We are now seeking an experienced and driven professional to join our team as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
As the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will have oversight of all food and beverage outlets, including Coco's Kitchen and Bar, room service, and event spaces. This key leadership role, reporting directly to our well-established Food and Beverage Manager, requires a strategic approach to managing operations, optimizing performance, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience across all outlets.
You will collaborate closely with a talented team, driving results and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the business. If you are a decisive, service-focused leader with a passion for operational excellence, we invite you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, ensuring high service standards and operational efficiency.
- Monitor revenue, costs, and budgets to meet financial targets while minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
- Work with the Culinary team to refine menu pricing, promotions, and offerings that align with guest preferences.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and Conference & Event teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Lead and develop the Food & Beverage team, fostering a culture of performance, training, and continuous improvement.

- Proven experience in Food and Beverage management, with a strong track record of leadership in a hotel restaurant environment.

- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Expertise in wine varietals, cocktails, craft beers, and spirits, with a refined palate and an eye for quality.
- Strong awareness of current industry trends and the ability to adapt to emerging food and beverage innovations.
