Job Description

The Weddings and Social Events Manager is responsible for driving wedding and social event business by delivering personalized, high-quality experiences for clients. This role focuses on managing the full sales cycle—from initial inquiries and client consultations through event confirmation and handover to operations—while ensuring each event reflects the hotel’s luxury standards. The position plays a key role in revenue generation, client relationship management, and positioning the hotel as a preferred destination for weddings and social celebrations.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
  • Extensive Event Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and management, with a proven track record of successfully handling weddings and social events, preferably within luxury hotels or upscale event planning firms.
  • Luxury Event Expertise: Demonstrated experience in planning and executing luxury weddings and high-end social events, with strong creativity, attention to detail, and understanding of luxury trends and elevated client expectations.
  • Client Relationship Skills: Strong interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients while delivering personalized and attentive service.
  • Budget Management: Proven ability to prepare, manage, and control event budgets effectively, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining quality and luxury standards.
  • Team Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating a diverse team to achieve high performance and service excellence.
  • Vendor Network: Well-established network of reliable vendors and suppliers within the luxury event industry, including décor, production, and entertainment partners, to support seamless event execution.
