The incumbent is an employee who shall be responsible for making hospitality towards guest a prime goal and thus to maintain and develop the attitude of themselves. He/ She must exercise strong job performance skills and give special attention to visible handling of the day-to-day operations in the front area, especially during main service hours. Aside the above, a waiter must ensure close co-ordination with other team members within the restaurant, shift supervisors, restaurant managers and the culinary team to maintain standards of quality, service and maintenance of facilities in areas he/she is responsible for. In the role of waiter, he/ she must be capable of driving working methods and best practices to grow the restaurant’s business whilst delivering excellent customer experience. This includes and is not limited to implementation of all aspects of brand standards cascaded to them, maintaining a positive and smiling disposition and adherence to all hygiene and safety practices, in line with IBN AL BAHR specific policies and procedures whilst upholding the brand image of the business. He/ she is responsible for effective coordinating with the team to attain desirable profit-making results for the restaurant operations and act as the brand ambassador of the business unit they are assigned to. He/ she must be responsible for the overall smooth and economical running of the entire restaurant. In a nutshell, the waiter must assist management in implementing and adhering to Our Policies and Procedures of the Company as well as that of the restaurant by ensuring prompt, hospitable, courteous, and correct service to maximize guest satisfaction, restaurant revenue and profit whilst working with the team with keen implementation of operational standards, rules and guidelines.
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in hospitality management/ business administration, etc
- Specialization in hospitality and food service business is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years experiences in the industry in a similar role or in the same position.
- Skills required include and are not limited to courage of conviction, excellent influencing skills, innovation, adaptability to business environment, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal, and written communication skills in English, self-motivated, self-starter and takes pride in capable of performing duties assigned within this job description.
- Know how’s on food & safety as well as hygiene requirements .
- Any other language is an added advantage
