Team Leader Restaurant

At Novotel Amsterdam City, we strive to create memorable experiences for our guests through excellent service, quality, and teamwork. To strengthen our Food & Beverage department, we are looking for a motivated and hands-on Team Leader Restaurant. Would you like to help manage the restaurant, bar, and room service of one of the largest 4-star hotels in the Benelux? Then we are looking for you!

Novotel Amsterdam City features 610 rooms, 1 (large) restaurant, 18 meeting rooms, and hosts approximately 700 guests daily. During busy periods, our F&B team serves an average of 600 breakfast guests and 200 dinner guests daily. To ensure smooth operations and enhance quality and productivity, we are looking for an innovative and connecting Bar and Restaurant Team Leader.

As the Team Leader Restaurant, you will be responsible for the bar, restaurant, room service, and banqueting guests dining in the restaurant. You will actively contribute creative and innovative ideas while maintaining a strong and visible presence on the floor. At the same time, you effectively manage all behind-the-scenes tasks that support and empower the team.

You support the team and supervisors, coaching them to elevate service standards. Additionally, you will frequently assume the role of Duty Manager, overseeing the entire hotel. In this role, you will report directly to our F&B Manager, Filipe.

Some of your key performance indicators include:

• Independent responsibility for your own domain, including recruitment, staffing, training, and supervision of F&B supervisors and colleagues.
• Ensuring the professionalism and quality of the restaurant and the team.
• Supporting the F&B Manager in developing the restaurant’s strategy.
• Contributing to the annual plan regarding budget, market trends, etc.
• Maintaining a "Yes, we can" attitude, as unforeseen challenges can arise, requiring you to quickly adapt and find swift solutions.

What we are looking for:

• You have a completed HBO education, preferably in the direction of the Hotel School.
• You have at least 3 years of work experience in an F&B department, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership and/or shift leader role.
• You possess excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• You are a true connector and an ideal host with a keen eye for detail.

You speak fluent English/Dutch is a plus.
