Job Description

Pullman Auckland is seeking a Senior Meetings & Events Sales Manager to lead our high-performing events sales team and act as the 2IC to the Director of Sales / Portfolio Performance Sales.

This is an opportunity to shape the success of one of Auckland’s most dynamic hotel portfolios and deliver exceptional event experiences for some of New Zealand’s most influential clients.

As our Senior Meetings & Events Sales Manager, you will:

  • Support the Director of Sales / Portfolio Performance Sales, as second-in-command, contributing to departmental planning and leadership.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business, responding to market trends, and executing pricing & yield strategies.
  • Lead the Meetings & Events team to achieve sales goals, ensure consistency and accuracy, and deliver exceptional service to our guests.
  • Lead the full events sales cycle — from enquiry to post-event follow up.
  • Partner closely with hotel operations to ensure seamless, professional event delivery.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders including PCOs, corporate partners, DMCs, venue finders, and the Accor cluster sales network.
  • Oversee event proposals, contracts, payment processes, BEO accuracy, forecasting, and CRM systems.
  • Champion the ALL Meeting Planner loyalty program across all client interactions.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with CRM/event systems such as Delphi, Opera Cloud, Anais, or Cvent (preferred).
  • Proven experience in meetings & events sales, ideally in a hotel or venue environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing a high-value sales pipeline.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, coaching mindset, and commitment to service excellence
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex events at once.
