- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to Security Officers.
- Ensure all security equipment (radios, surveillance systems, access controls, etc.) is functioning properly and report any issues to management.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure events, VIP visits, and guest experiences are safe and well-managed.
- Prepare detailed shift reports and summaries for leadership review.
- Ensure security logs, incident reports, and daily checklists are completed accurately.
- Maintain high visibility and approachability to both staff and guests, reinforcing a safe and service-focused environment.
- Support investigations of guest or employee incidents and help gather statements and evidence as needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
- We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
- We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to, on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security, law enforcement, or emergency management preferred.

- Solid knowledge of security operations, patrol procedures, emergency response, surveillance systems, and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal safety laws, including OSHA standards, fire codes, and public safety regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team of Security Officers while maintaining operational discipline and performance standards.
- Strong observational and situational awareness skills; able to identify and respond to suspicious activity or safety risks quickly and appropriately.
- Skilled in writing clear, detailed incident and shift reports; strong verbal communication for relaying information to guests, employees, and emergency services.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive during high-stress or emergency situations.
- Proficient in using security technologies, including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and two-way radios.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required
- Must be physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and lifting or pushing items over 20 lbs as needed.
- Professional appearance and adherence to department uniform standards required at all times.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
