Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Security Manager to join our organization in Chennai, India. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee all security and safety operations, ensuring the protection of our employees, visitors, and organizational assets. You'll develop and implement comprehensive security strategies while maintaining compliance with local regulations and industry standards.   • Oversee and manage all security operations, including surveillance systems, access control, and regular patrols to ensure comprehensive facility protection
  • Develop, implement, and continuously update security policies, procedures, and emergency response plans aligned with organizational standards and local regulations
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyze potential security vulnerabilities to proactively address threats
  • Investigate security incidents, violations, and breaches with meticulous attention to detail; document findings and recommend corrective actions
  • Lead, train, supervise, and mentor the security team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes professional growth
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities to ensure effective emergency response and crisis management
  • Manage security arrangements for high-profile events, VIP visits, and sensitive organizational activities
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures; implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on security incidents, access logs, and system performance
  • Manage security budgets, vendor relationships, and contractor oversight to ensure cost-effective operations
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and industry best practices; recommend program enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive security management experience, preferably in corporate, hospitality, or large-scale organizational environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in CCTV systems, access control technology, and emergency protocols
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop security personnel
  • Exceptional crisis management and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in incident investigation, documentation, and report writing
  • Knowledge of Indian security regulations, local compliance requirements, and coordination with Chennai-based authorities
  • Experience with security risk assessment and vulnerability analysis
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships efficiently
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity basics and data protection principles
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Conflict resolution expertise and empathetic approach to team management
  • Certification in Security Management or related field (preferred)
