Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager - Government to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this pivotal role, you will lead our government sector sales initiatives, building and maintaining strategic relationships with government agencies and public sector organizations. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth within the government procurement space. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing organization while advancing your career in the public sector sales arena.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting government agencies and public sector clients in Indonesia
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government decision-makers, procurement officers, and key stakeholders
  • Identify new business opportunities within the government sector and develop proposals that align with client needs
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with government entities while ensuring compliance with procurement regulations
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and positioning
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to senior management
  • Customize product and service offerings to meet specific government requirements and compliance standards
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with team members and provide coaching to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with government procurement laws and organizational policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience, with at least 3 years in government or public sector sales
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and achieving revenue targets
  • In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes and public sector buying cycles
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English and Indonesian (both written and verbal)
  • Preferred: Experience with B2B sales in the technology, consulting, or services sector
  • Preferred: Sales certifications or professional development in government contracting
