We are looking for a part-time Reservations Agent who has a passion for engaging with and assisting guests.  As the first point of contact for our hotel, your friendly and welcoming personality, and your knowledge of the hotel will help to create a great first impression for our guests. Offering the award rate of $25.80 per hour plus applicable penalty rates, this role offers a great development opportunity to grow your skills and confidence in a busy hotel right in the heart of Melbourne and to be a part of the global Accor community.


Job Description

 Reporting to our Reservations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling all incoming reservations enquiries via email or phone, taking opportunities to up-sell hotel services and maximise revenue opportunities
  • Providing passionate, knowledgeable and friendly service to external and internal guests
  • Ensuring special requests are communicated to relevant Departments to ensure they are actioned appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Responding to all reservations emails in a timely manner ensuring that accurate information is recorded in the reservations system

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer service role, with the ability use product knowledge to enhance the service experience and to solve problems
  • Previous employment in a Reservations or Guest Service Agent role would be an advantage
  • Prior experience working with RMS, Opera or a related system is an advantage however training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
