Job Description

Pullman Cairns International is currently seeking a Full Time Public Areas Attendant to become part of our dedicated Housekeeping team.

In this role, you will help maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the hotel’s shared guest spaces and back-of-house areas, ensuring every corner of the property reflects the high standards expected of a five-star hotel. From the moment guests enter the lobby to the corridors and facilities they use throughout their stay, your work will help create a polished, comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in a job well done, and thrives in a supportive team environment. Your contribution helps ensure the hotel runs smoothly while delivering the welcoming atmosphere our guests appreciate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure guest-facing areas of the hotel remain clean, well-presented, and inviting throughout the day
  • Care for shared spaces such as the lobby, hallways, guest facilities, and surrounding areas to maintain a high standard of presentation
  • Monitor public areas and respond quickly to any cleaning needs to keep spaces safe and comfortable for guests
  • Refresh and restock amenities in shared restrooms and guest areas as required
  • Maintain cleanliness in designated back-of-house and staff areas to support daily hotel operations
  • Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to uphold the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards

Qualifications

We are looking for reliable team members who take pride in their work and enjoy contributing to a positive team environment.

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Great attention to detail and a commitment to high presentation standards
  • Ability to work independently and stay organised in a busy environment
  • Physical capability to perform cleaning duties throughout the shift
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential
