Job Description
Our resort is grand, and our people are exceptional. As a Public Area Attendant, you play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere throughout our resort — including public areas, restrooms, Heart of the House spaces, and offices.
Hourly Rate: $26.59
What you will be doing:
- Perform daily cleaning as well as occasional projects that promote overall cleanliness and maintenance in the designated area(s), according to the Hotel standards. This involves vacuuming/mopping floors, refreshing garbage receptacles, cleaning bathrooms, window washing, dusting, polishing, replenishing amenities, furniture moving and special projects as assigned.
- Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any malfunctioning equipment
- Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
- Ensure that overall cleanliness and maintenance of our resort exceeds expectations
- Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment issued during and prior to the completion of shift
Schedule: Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including overnight, weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Warm and caring personality; previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial roles preferred; hospitality experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
- Must have manual dexterity to be able to carry out essential functions, operate housekeeping devices and other cleaning equipment as needed
- Frequent walking and standing throughout shift
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
