Job Description

You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Porter, you will take the responsible for ensuring exceptional service is provided to guests at all times, making guests feel both welcome and comfortable. Secondary to this, the role is responsible for ensuring the front office premises are safe, clean and comfortable for guests.

What you will be doing:

  • Greet all guests as they arrive and depart the hotel.
  • Use the guests’ name at all times (once known).
  • Check the daily arrival list for VVIP's or guests with special needs.
  • Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage, mail, messages and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Escort guests to their room, placing luggage in room.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage.
  • Park and retrieve guest's cars with care (where applicable)
  • Explain room and hotel facilities to guests and answer any questions.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

    • Previous experience working in a hotel or serviced apartments environment preferred.
    • Good levels of written and spoken English.
    • Sound knowledge of the local area.
    • Australian Driver’s License required.
