Job Description

We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Night Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel's overnight operations. This hands-on leadership role is crucial in ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, accurate financial reporting, and the safety and security of the property during night hours.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Complete daily audits of revenue and postings, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
  • Manage and process all management accounts and overnight reservations updates.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, maintain hotel statistics, and ensure all nightly computer functions and data backups are completed.
  • Monitor occupancy levels to maximise room yield and revenue.
  • Supervise overnight operations across all departments, providing support in the absence of department managers.
  • Uphold safety, security, and emergency procedures, including fire safety and liquor licensing compliance.
  • Investigate any security breaches and follow correct reporting and legal procedures.
  • Carry out Front Office duties, lead by example in guest service, and ensure exceptional customer experiences at all times.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hotel policies including financial transactions, key security, and guest confidentiality.
  • Communicate changes in hotel policies, procedures, and information effectively to the team.
  • Be proficient in the use of all front and back office systems and equipment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a hospitality professional with strong operational knowledge, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be confident working independently, with the ability to make sound decisions and lead by example.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 year's experience in a Night Audit or Front Office leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Opera Cloud, Microsoft Office, and hotel systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible availability; you are required to work nights, including weekends, and public holidays as needed.
