Located in the heart of Canada's capital next door to the Parliament Buildings, the landmark Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa is looking to fill a role of Night Guest Service Agent (Full-Time).

- Full rate of pay of $23.86/hour
Reporting to the Night Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
- Provide guests with a superior first and last impression of the hotel
- Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador of the property and brand, offering exceptional service to the guests
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service to our guests
- Handle guest requests effectively and promptly
- Take initiative to add a personalized experience and proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay
- Generate reports and perform hotel and valet audits
- Complete night audit tasks as assigned
- Key Members of Crisis & Emergency Team
- Promote a professional team environment
- Ensure safety of guests and colleagues by following safety policies
- Complies with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts policies, procedures and code of ethics
- Performs any and all other tasks which are assigned by management
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages
- Minimum 1-2 years of Guest Services Agent experience in a similar environment is preferred
- Positive and pleasant attitude, enthusiastic, able to work alone, strong team player and detail oriented
- Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
- Computer literate with Word and Excel is preferable with ability to type 40 words per minute
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Hospitality Diploma is an asset
- Must be flexible in terms of working hours
- Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately
- Prior experience with Opera Cloud is an asset
