Novotel Birmingham Centre is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team at the hotel.

This position is for a NIGHT AUDITOR TEAM MEMBER  will welcomes the guests and provides support to all Front Office department as well as working closely and helping all hotel departments.

This 4-stars hotel has 148 rooms and 8 meeting rooms and is located in the heart of the city centre.

PROFILE / PERSONALITY

  • Provide a friendly and personalised welcome for our guests
  • Offer an attentive and personalised service
  • Handle any comments made by guests and ensure follow-up
  • Convey the image of the brand and the hotel

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES FOR NIGHT AUDITOR TEAM MEMBER 

  • Handle and resolve any guest feedback and is able to handle them in the most efficient and satisfying manner
  • Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
  • Take initiative to add a personalized experience
  • Proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest’s stay through up-selling
  • Front Office operations including nights
  • Welcomes guests as soon as they arrive with care and attention, with a personalised approach 
  • Handle guest correspondences on telephone, emails, fax, face to face and ensure prompt follow-ups
  • Manage daily room inventory and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure requested rooms are available according to arrival times
  • To ensure that credit & cash handling procedures are followed as per the company policy 
  • Handle overbooking/out bookings to maximise occupancy 
  • Be ready to assist at any stage of the guests stay, from welcome to farewell
  • Promoting company’s ALL loyalty programme

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our team in Birmingham, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth overnight operations while delivering exceptional service to our valued guests.

  • Manage guest accounts, post charges, and reconcile payments accurately
  • Generate and analyze daily financial reports
  • Perform end-of-day auditing procedures and balance accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service during overnight check-ins and check-outs
  • Assist guests with inquiries and requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment during night shifts
  • Ensure effective communication during shift handovers
  • Support front desk operations as needed during overnight hours
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Strong computer proficiency, with experience in hotel management software (Opera Cloud preferred)
  • Basic accounting knowledge and ability to work with financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Team player mentality with a customer-focused approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk or night audit roles is a plus
