Job Description

Are you a driven hospitality professional with a passion for creating exceptional event experiences? Pullman Auckland is looking for an energetic and skilled Meetings & Events Sales Manager to join our high‑performing Sales & Events team.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of meetings and events—from initial inquiry to post‑event follow‑up—while building strong client relationships and driving revenue growth for one of Auckland’s leading hotels.

As our Meetings & Events Sales Manager, you will:

  • Manage all client enquiries and coordinate seamless, end‑to‑end event delivery, from proposals to billing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, event organisers, and industry partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities and contribute innovative ideas to enhance revenue and profitability.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections, pre‑con meetings, menu tastings, and ensure exceptional client experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Banquets, and Kitchen teams to deliver high‑quality events.
  • Use CRM and event management systems (Delphi, Opera, Anais, Cvent) to manage forecasts, pipelines, and communications.
  • Contribute to departmental SOPs and promote the ALL Meeting & Events loyalty programme.
  • Support team training, culture, and professional service standards.

Qualifications

You’ll be successful in this role if you have:

  • Proven experience in meetings, events, or hospitality sales (hotel experience preferred).
  • Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments to deliver standout event experiences.
  • Familiarity with event or CRM software (Delphi, Cvent, Opera, etc.) is advantageous.
