Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour plus tips
What you will be doing:
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Presents menu and specials, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
- Relay orders to the kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
- Serving food and beverage items to guests
- Handle cash and remittance; collects payment from customers.
- Stocking of stations
- Maintain cleanliness of restaurant; clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
- Following established service guidelines and practices; continually demonstrate the Service Principles with every interaction with guest and colleagues.
- Carrying out other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by your teammates or manager.
- Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise guests with all questions and requests they may have.
Your experience and skills include:
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Previous food and beverage experience required. Basic food and wine knowledge required
- Minimum of one-year experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant is preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- High energy level; friendly; outgoing; team player, good organizational skills; salesmanship
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
