The Island Chapter
Luura begins its journey in Paros with two distinct yet connected expressions.
Luura Paros Cliff, opening May 2026, features 39 thoughtfully designed rooms set above the sea.
One year later, Luura Paros Sand follows with 49 additional rooms and a collection of vibrant food and social spaces that capture another rhythm of the island.
Your Role in the Story
As a Laundry Attendant at LUURA, you are responsible for ensuring that all guest laundry, staff uniforms, and linen are handled, cleaned, and delivered to the highest standard. You will operate laundry machinery safely, maintain the cleanliness and order of the linen and laundry areas, and support the smooth day-to-day operations of the department. You will work closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure that every guest and associate receives prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle guest laundry, staff uniforms, and linen with care, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
- Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently according to LUURA standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the linen and laundry areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linen, guest laundry, and staff uniforms as per hotel standards.
- Check the quality of linen and garments received from outsourced laundry vendors and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of linen and laundry movement, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in training and guiding Linen and Laundry Coordinators on operational standards and proper handling of equipment.
- Follow daily schedules, considering room occupancy, events, and special requirements to ensure sufficient linen availability.
- Collaborate with the outsourced laundry company, providing feedback on service quality and addressing any operational issues.
- Monitor chemical and cleaning supply stock levels and ensure proper storage and usage.
- Conduct periodic cleaning and maintenance of laundry machines and equipment, reporting issues promptly to the Housekeeping Assistant Manager.
- Follow safety, hygiene, and security procedures at all times, reporting any incidents or hazards immediately.
- Respond to guest and associate requests promptly and courteously when required.
- Support other Housekeeping operations when needed, including delivering linen to outlets, spa, and guest areas.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adherence to LUURA grooming standards.
- Ensure punctuality, reliability, and flexibility to support departmental needs during peak times or special events.
Who We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hotel or resort laundry or linen handling role.
- Knowledge of laundry machinery, chemicals, cleaning processes, and garment care standards.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures, maintain high-quality standards, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-national, multi-cultural team.
- Physically fit to handle repetitive tasks, lift linen, and operate laundry equipment safely.
- Committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the Housekeeping team.
- Basic computer literacy for recording linen and laundry movements and reporting.
- Eligible to work at an EU country.
