Job Description

INSPIRE Leadership Development Program – Food & Beverage

As a future or recent graduate, you’re eager to launch your hospitality career with one of the most iconic names in the industry. The INSPIRE Leadership Development Program at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts provides an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the hospitality world and build a solid foundation in management. Over a 12-month period, you will gain hands-on operational experience while developing the skills needed to thrive as a leader in hospitality. The program is designed to accelerate your growth, ensuring you become an invaluable part of the Fairmont team.

Program Highlights: You will join Fairmont as a Supervisor (or equivalent) within the Food & Beverage department. This entry-level leadership role will immerse you in the day-to-day workings of a luxury hotel, enabling you to learn the fundamentals of hospitality and leadership from the ground up.

Your Customized INSPIRE Program:

  • Specialization: You will focus on developing your expertise within the Food and Beverage division, rotating through various area and roles to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business.
  • Peer Ambassador Support: A dedicated Peer Ambassador will guide you as you transition into your role and life as a hospitality professional, offering support and advice along the way.
  • Mentorship: A senior leader will act as your mentor, providing you with the guidance you need to progress and offering opportunities for learning and growth through regular one-on-one interactions.
  • Property Project: Put your skills to the test with a project that allows you to showcase your creative and innovative ideas, contributing to the success of the property.
  • Continuous Feedback: Benefit from structured feedback and regular checkpoints with your leadership team, ensuring that you stay on track and continue to thrive throughout the program.

What you will be doing:

  • Continuously learning and developing leadership skills through hands-on experiences and mentorship
  • Contributing to the success of the Food & Beverage department and hotel through innovative projects and participation in daily operations
  • Engaging in cross-departmental collaboration to foster a strong understanding of the various facets of Food & Beverage management
  • Driving exceptional customer service standards while maintaining operational excellence
  • Participating in training and development programs designed to equip you with the tools to excel in the hospitality industry

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • At least 1 year of cumulative experience in hospitality (ideally within a hotel environment) or another customer-service-oriented setting. Experience in the area you’re applying for is a plus
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an asset
  • Post-secondary education (e.g., bachelor’s or master’s degree) in Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred, though candidates from all disciplines are encouraged to apply
  • A strong desire to grow and succeed in the hospitality industry, with excellent engagement, motivation, and a commitment to learning
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating agility and a strong willingness to learn
