Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in West Jakarta, Indonesia. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to motivate and manage a team of housekeeping staff.

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to quality standards
  • Train, coach, and mentor housekeeping staff to improve their skills and efficiency
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures for cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Address guest concerns and requests promptly and professionally
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations and company policies
  • Assist in developing and implementing new cleaning procedures and techniques
  • Maintain accurate records of room status, maintenance issues, and inventory levels
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new housekeeping staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality management preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
  • Proficiency in inventory management and budget control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software related to housekeeping operations
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in the hospitality industry
  • Customer service-oriented with a professional and courteous demeanor
  • Ability to speak English fluently; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus
