Job Description

• Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned according to standards and procedures

• Ensure that the Hostess stand is clean, organized and stocked with designated supplies prior to the start of operation

• Review the reservation book, pre-assign designated tables and follow upon all special requests

• Greet the guests at the entrance of the Restaurant, escort them to the table, which has been designated to them, ensure that the guests are pleased with their table.

• Assist in preparing F&B services and maintaining the cleanliness of outlet in accordance to departmental standards and procedures

• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)

• Assist in monitoring the guests’ needs, check the previously ordered items (cake, flowers, etc.) and inform the restaurant kitchen and service staff of all pre-booked menu and special menu requests of the guests.

• Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Promote positive guest relations at all times

• Be familiar with all the operation services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.

• Assist restaurant staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests; when requested.

• Answer outlet telephone within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette

• Take record, and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations in accordance with departmental standards.

• Try to remember individual patron’s names and their preferences to extend a personalized service

• Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue. Cross sell other dining venue when outlet is full

• Thank all patrons for patronizing the outlet upon their departure

• Report any complaints, incidents or other irregularities to management

• Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required

• Deliver and support outlet to achieve exceptional LQA Standards in the outlet.


Qualifications


• High school education
• Additional certification(s) in Food & Beverage will be an advantage
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
