Job Description

  • Represents the Front Office Department at the Front Desk and ensure that the image of the hotel in relation to the Company Core Values.
  • He/she is the Team Leader of this shift and ensures that he receives guests, makes recommendations, and advises them of all rooms’ related services and all information in a very salesmanship spirit to the benefit of the guests.
  • To establish and maintain effective employee relations.
  • To inform the Front Office Manager or Assistant FOM of any complaints or any other problems that may arise.
  • To react to all daily operating problems and complaints rose and to offer solutions and to report them to the FOM or Assistant FOM.
  • To maintain effective and cordial Guests relations and to take the initiative to achieve service excellence.
  • Ensures that all guests are welcomed with courtesy with cold towels and welcome drink.
  • To converse with guests whenever possible to obtain feedback and suggestion for improvement.
  • Ensures that all guests receive correct and relevant information on all services which we supply
  • Ensure that all required check-in data’s are accurate and correct for all guests and properly inserted in the computer system without forgetting the payment instructions.
  • Responsible to ensure that the day to day communication, planning concerning arriving and departing guests which are properly relayed to the department concerned.
  • Responsible to ensure that all required resources are available in order to guarantee smooth operation.
  • Evaluates the wishes and desires of all guests and ensure that the optimum is being met.
  • Ensures that information concerning the arrival of guests is quickly sent to the departments concerned.
  • Ensures that information concerning check in and check-out is forwarded to the department concerned.
  • He/she checks Housekeeping report against room status. Any discrepancy is being rectified and communicated to the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or equivalent qualifications
  • Additional certification(s) in Tourism management will be an advantage
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of similar experience
  • Past experience of working in the Maldives
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
