Novotel Devonport is currently seeking a Part-Time Guest Service Agent (GSA) to join our Front Office team.
Overlooking the Mersey River, Novotel Devonport boasts an unrivalled waterfront location, unique design, outstanding service and an exciting hotel concept.
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for welcoming guests, assisting with check-in and check-out, responding to enquiries, sharing information about the hotel and providing local tourism, dining and entertainment recommendations.

Job Description
Part Time Guest Service Agent/Front Office All Rounder
- Be the first point of contact and greet guests with a warm welcome every time
- Make the check-in, check-out process run smoothly
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensure procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality, issuing of room keys, handling credit cards etc
- Ensure the security of our guests and their possessions
- Handle guest complaints in a positive manner and escalating as required
- Communicate effectively with other departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage to assist guests in regard to room changes, dining bookings etc.
- Assist with valet parking as required
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience highly regarded
- The ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends or public holidays
- Enthusiasm to connect with guests and to hear their stories
- Have a genuine love of Devonport and a desire to share your knowledge with our guests
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- High level of computer literacy
- Be reliable, well-groomed and have excellent attention to detail
- Full Tasmanian Manual and Auto Drivers License is essential
