Scope of Position:
The Finance Supervisor oversees all financial activities of the hotel, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position plays a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the finance team, including staff accountants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable personnel.
- Provide guidance and training to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Monitor chart of accounts and account coding accuracy.
- Review journal entries and adjustments.
Audit Support:
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Provide auditors with necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure audit findings are addressed promptly.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws, financial reporting standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Ensure that all Accor Policy and procedure are implemented by the Hotel
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Financial controller and senior management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and communicate financial variances.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow by overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies in the finance department.
Other:
- Any other task that might be allocated to you by the Hotel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Prior experience in Hospitality is preferred.
