Company Description

We’re looking for a plate-balancing, people-loving Events Waiter at The Hoxton, Edinburgh to keep the food, drinks and good vibes flowing at our most memorable moments.

Reporting to the Events Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for serving, hosting, and bringing a smooth, friendly service to our event spaces, from intimate dinners to weddings, launch parties, and the sort of celebrations people talk about for years. This is a casual, flexible role where you choose the shifts that work for your life, and there may be opportunities to pick up hours elsewhere in the hotel too.

We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.

Patatino is our all-day Italian trattoria serving fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and all the spritzes and Italian wines you could wish for. Inspired by the glam and romance of the sun-soaked Amalfi coast, it’s a spot for long, joyful meals with friends, where old-school charm meets modern design, with bold colours, cosy corners, and plenty of personality.

What you’ll do…

  • Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to have memorable gatherings.
  • Help keep service running smoothly, from setting up spaces to serving plates, topping up glasses, and keeping the atmosphere buzzing.
  • Work with the rest of the team in keeping things running smoothly before, during and after events.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions so that our guests’ expectations are not only met but exceeded.
  • Bring personality, positivity, and energy to every shift, whether it’s an intimate dinner or a 200-guest party night.
