Job Description

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes, standards, and menus
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet five-star hotel standards
  • Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in line with hygiene and safety regulations
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Assist in mise en place and daily kitchen preparations
  • Properly store food items and monitor stock rotation (FIFO)
  • Minimize waste and follow cost-control procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak periods
  • Support special events, banquets, and à la carte service as required
  • Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a five-star or luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
  • Culinary diploma or vocational training in Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Greek and international cuisine is an advantage
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of English; Greek language skills are an advantage
