Electrician/Laundry Maintenance Specialist 1

Job Description

Maintaining of commercial laundry and dry cleaning equipment. Reporting to the Chief engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Competitive salary: $36.89/hr to start.  After 3 months $38.59/hour.  After 1 year $43.69/hour, and yearly wage increases there after.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot and repair automated computerized control systems, PLC and control circuits and perform corrective actions and repairs
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
• Maintaining service cycle records
• Routine equipment maintenance & scheduled PM tasks
• Participate in quarterly workplace inspections.
• Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in a commercial fast paced production facility an asset.
• Previous vocational training an asset.
• Ability to trouble shoot and repair machine controls.
• Experience with steam boilers an asset.
• Good mechanical hands on abilities.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Routine equipment inspections maintenance and Preventative Maintenance.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Journeyman Electrician background with ticket.
• The successful candidate must be obtain a 5th class steam ticket within 12 months of completion of probation(paid by the company)

Physical Aspects of Position(include but are not limited to):

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Use of hand tools
• Working on top, below and around equipment
• Ability to lift loads of up to 75 pounds.
