We are currently seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the resort’s commercial strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue performance, enhancing brand positioning, and leading the sales and marketing team to achieve business objectives.

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong commercial acumen, proven track record in driving revenue, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic resort environment. They bring a balanced approach, combining analytical insight with creative thinking, and strong leadership with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets across rooms, MICE, and F&B segments
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the sales and marketing team to drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to optimize pricing strategies, segmentation, and distribution channels
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, brand positioning, social media, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, travel partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Drive proactive business development efforts to identify new revenue opportunities and emerging markets
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management to ensure effective inventory control and maximize yield across all channels
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and profitability targets
  • Monitor commercial performance through data-driven analysis, providing regular insights and strategic recommendations
  • Manage sales and marketing expenses in line with the approved business plan and financial goals
  • Represent the property in industry events, trade shows, and community initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with all departments to ensure a cohesive guest journey and maximize upselling opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven track record of 7+ years in hotel sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and increase market share in competitive environments
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns
  • Excellent leadership and team management experience, with a focus on mentoring and developing talent
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, including food and beverage operations and banquet/catering services
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to inform decision-making
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences
  • Experience in budget management and financial forecasting
  • Expertise in digital marketing strategies, including social media and content marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with hotel management software and CRM systems
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a track record of securing and retaining key accounts
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business development and industry events
  • Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment and knowledge of the Indonesian market is highly desirable
