The Director of Finance provides strategic leadership, functional guidance, and valuable insights for optimal business decision; Interacting with hotel’s legal counsel, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors, commercial and government banks to effectively control the assets of the business. The Director of Finance will be a highly motivated team player with strong accounting, communication, business presentation and analytical skills.
- Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing, and compliance.
- Develop and implement robust financial controls and policies to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the General Manager, executive committee, and department heads to drive profitability and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all local tax laws, labor laws, and financial regulations.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure plans, cost control, and inventory to optimize profitability, operational, and financial performance.
- Lead the finance team by setting clear goals, providing training and development, and promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Supervise and develop the finance team to ensure high levels of accuracy, professionalism, and service.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and government authorities as required.
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide insight and recommendations to improve revenue, reduce costs, and maximize return on investment.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, purchasing, payroll, and audit functions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and prepare timely, accurate financial reports and analyses for senior management and ownership.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with department heads to support financial decision-making and business strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders and ownership.
- Contribute to strategic planning and provide recommendations based on financial insights and data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience in operations is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g., Sun Systems, Opera, Hyperion, or similar).
- Proficient in software (e.g.,Micros, Microsoft Suite.).
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership ability with a hands-on, proactive approach.

Pay Range: $145,000 - $175,000 annual salary, with potential for additional performance-based incentives
