Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie specializing in Pan Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while honing your skills in Asian flavors and techniques.

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Pan Asian dishes, ensuring consistency and quality in taste and presentation
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing the assigned kitchen section
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations during service
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed at all times
  • Contribute to menu development and recipe standardization
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in Pan Asian cooking techniques
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and workstations in clean and organized condition
  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
  • Adapt to fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Participate in team briefings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar role
  • Proven experience in Pan Asian cuisine, including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and other Asian culinary traditions
  • Strong knowledge of Asian ingredients, flavors, and cooking techniques
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment
  • Up-to-date food safety certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
