We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen brigade at Spice Central Kitchen & Bar. This role is responsible for food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality dishes across all service periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
- Ensure mise en place is prepared and stocked for service.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Assist with stock rotation and minimising wastage.
- Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
We are looking for a passionate and reliable team player who is eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their culinary career or looking to build on existing experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
- Previous experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
