Job Description

Novotel Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a professional and decisive Banquet Captain to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will lead our banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests.

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet events, from setup to execution
  • Lead and motivate a team of banquet staff, assigning tasks and providing guidance
  • Collaborate with clients, event planners, and internal departments to ensure successful events
  • Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for banquet operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hotel standards
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings with the team
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Assist in training and developing banquet staff
  • Prepare reports on banquet operations and guest feedback

Qualifications

  • more than 2 years of experience in banquet operations, with previous experience as a Banquet Captain or similar role
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Strong event management and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in event management software and point-of-sale systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
  • Food Safety Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Understanding of current hospitality industry trends
  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
