- Preparar los platos del menú del día, a partir de las demandas recibidas, cocina, parrillas, asando alimentos.
- Montar platos individuales, buffets, bandejas, etc. así como distribuir en los lugares de consumo local.
- Sugerir cambios en los menús, en función de la disponibilidad de productos e histórico de consumo.
- Controlar el consumo y facilitar la reubicación de los alimentos cuando sea necesario.
- Realizar las actividades de diversos sectores de la cocina, tales como: carnicería, confitería, pastas y otros.
- Dar informaciones y explicaciones a los clientes acerca de los platos servidos, cuando se le solicite.
- Ayudar a la parte superior inmediata en optimización de recursos y control de los costos de los alimentos.
- Garantizar la plena aplicación de las mejores prácticas para la seguridad alimenticia.
- Recoger los alimentos al final de los servicios y utilizar la vía más adecuada para el destino.
- Orientar a los Cocineros y Comises de Cocina.
- Sustituir al superior inmediato en su ausencia.
- Ejecutar otras atribuciones de acuerdo con la necesidad del área.
